UX / DESIGN / CODING / PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Nabors contracted ChaiOne to develop an intranet portal that would support their internal staff. This intranet should be optimized for mobile devices and use the Telerik Kendo UI to integrate with their .net framework.
My role in this project was two-fold. First, I and another designer worked on the visual design and layout. Secondly, I was responsible for managing a team of developers who were implementing the Kendo UI library. I conducted bi-weekly meetings and tested the latest builds.
The research team conducted user testing on their current UI to ascertain the issues and pain points of their user base.
Based on their findings, myself and another designer began creating wireframes to address some of these issues to make for a smoother, user friendly interface.
After some iterative sessions to work out the kinks in our wireframes, I brought them into Axure and began creating a more interactive, clickable prototype.
In addition to Axure, I have experience using Sketch and Adobe Xd for wireframing and prototyping.
A mobile friendly site design was crucial since most users were using iPads and iPhones to work within the intranet site.
I worked with the design team to come up with some mobile friendly solutions to problems with data tables and large amounts of navigation.
